Jim’s middle school son, Jack, has been building computers and 3D printing at home for years, but Jim wanted something more something all kids in town could access.
Two years ago, he attended a robotics competition and was amazed by the teamwork, problem-solving, and engineering skills. He knew he wanted that for his son and the community.
He posted a simple question on Facebook about starting a robotics club. That one post grew into one team in 2024 and five teams with over 40 kids in 2025.
We provide Waldwick students with challenging, hands-on STEM experiences centered on design, engineering, and problem-solving. Through teamwork and iterative learning, our club develops technical skill, creative thinking, and the confidence to take on complex ideas and turn them into working solutions.
We are a registered 501c3 organization made up of parents who care deeply about STEM education and creating opportunities for Waldwick kids. Currently we offer competitive and non-competitive team opportunities for participation in FIRST events. We also offer off-season programs centered around programming, engineering, computer science and robotics. We hope to expand our offerings in the future to include kids ages 6-18 of all abilities.
